Find hidden words in a letter grid
Word Finder is a classic word search puzzle. A grid of letters hides a list of words placed in straight lines across 8 possible directions. Select the start and end of each word to mark it found.
Rules
A list of words is hidden in the grid. Your goal is to find and mark every word on the list.
Click or tap the first letter of a word, then the last letter. The word must form a straight line between those two cells.
Words can run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, both forwards and backwards.
The puzzle is complete when every word in the list has been found.
Strategies & Tips
Scan for Uncommon Letters
Letters like Q, X, Z, and J appear rarely. If a word contains one, scan the grid for that letter first to narrow your search.
Check All Directions
Remember words can be placed backwards or diagonally. If you can't find a word reading left-to-right, try other orientations.
Look for First and Last Letters
Locate the first letter of a word, then check all 8 directions for the second letter. This is faster than scanning every cell.
Cross Off Found Words
Found words are highlighted and crossed off the list. Use the remaining list to focus your search.
