Trace
Draw a path through every cell
Trace challenges you to draw a continuous path that visits every cell exactly once, passing through numbered cells in order. Walls block your path, adding to the challenge.
Rules
Draw a single path that connects cells orthogonally (up, down, left, right). No diagonals allowed.
Your path must pass through every cell exactly once. No cell can be visited twice or skipped.
Numbered cells must be visited in order: 1, then 2, then 3, and so on. They're checkpoints along your route.
Walls block movement between cells. Your path cannot cross through walls.
Strategies & Tips
Start from the Endpoints
The first and last numbers are path endpoints. Work from both ends toward the middle to reduce possibilities.
Look for Forced Moves
Corner cells and cells next to walls often have limited options. If a cell has only one unvisited neighbor, that's your next move.
Avoid Isolating Areas
Don't cut off sections of the grid. If your path would make it impossible to reach remaining cells, backtrack.
Use Numbers as Anchors
Numbers tell you roughly where your path should be at certain points. Plan your route to hit them in order.
