Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Puzzle Time (“we,” “our,” or “us”). They govern your access to and use of the Puzzle Time website, mobile apps, games, and related features (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
2. The Service
Puzzle Time provides daily puzzle games on the web and in native mobile apps. The current collection includes Throne, Eclipse, Trace, Lingo, Scatter, Flagdoku, Sudoku, Tube Sort, Nonogram, Minesweeper, and Word Finder, with free features and optional Puzzle Time Pro features.
Puzzles, difficulty, scoring, streaks, shields, archives, statistics, leaderboards, social features, and Pro benefits may evolve as we improve the Service. We may add, change, or remove features, provided that we respect applicable law and any paid access already owed to you.
3. Accounts and Guest Use
Some play may be available without an account. Guest progress is generally stored on the device or browser and may be lost if you clear storage, delete the app, change devices, or otherwise remove local data.
An account is required for features such as cross-device progress, friends, leaderboards, account-linked Pro access, and other server-backed features. When you create or use an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current
- Keep your sign-in methods and devices secure
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account was accessed without permission
- Take responsibility for activity performed through your account, except where the law provides otherwise
- Use only one person’s identity per account and not sell or transfer the account
4. Your License to Use Puzzle Time
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control and as permitted by the applicable app store’s usage rules.
This license does not transfer ownership of the Service or its content. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
5. Puzzle Time Pro and Billing
Puzzle Time Pro is an optional paid subscription that may unlock archives, advanced statistics, and other benefits described at the point of purchase. Available plans, billing periods, currencies, taxes, prices, trials, and offers can vary by platform, region, and time. The terms displayed before you confirm a purchase are part of these Terms and control that purchase.
- Purchase channels: Mobile purchases are billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Web purchases are billed through Polar. RevenueCat helps us validate and provide mobile subscription entitlements but does not replace the store as your billing provider.
- Account connection: Pro access is linked to the Puzzle Time account used for the purchase or restore. Restoring a mobile purchase may also require the same Apple or Google account that originally bought it.
- Automatic renewal: Unless the purchase screen says otherwise, subscriptions automatically renew for the displayed billing period until canceled. Your billing provider charges the payment method associated with that provider under its purchase terms.
6. Cancellation, Expiration, and Refunds
Manage or cancel a subscription through the channel that bills it: Apple subscriptions in Apple’s subscription settings, Google Play subscriptions in Google Play, and web subscriptions through the Puzzle Time web account or Polar portal. Cancel before the renewal deadline shown by your billing provider to avoid the next charge.
After cancellation, Pro access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period unless the billing provider states otherwise. Deleting the app or your Puzzle Time account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple, Google, or Polar; you must cancel it with that provider.
Refunds, credits, payment disputes, and billing corrections are handled under the billing provider’s policies and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
7. Progress, Results, and Availability of Data
The Service may save game state, results, timers, streaks, shields, statistics, preferences, and social data. We work to preserve accurate progress, but local data can be lost and synced data can be delayed or unavailable because of connectivity, device, provider, or service failures.
Scores, ranks, streaks, shields, and similar features have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold or transferred. We may correct results or remove entries affected by bugs, manipulation, automation, or abuse.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse another person
- Access another person’s account or restricted systems without permission
- Disrupt, overload, damage, or bypass the Service or its security and access controls
- Use bots, scrapers, automation, or bulk access without our written permission
- Reverse engineer, extract source code, or circumvent technical protections except where applicable law expressly allows it
- Manipulate results, leaderboards, purchases, entitlements, streaks, or other game systems
- Distribute puzzle solutions or spoilers in a way intended to harm other players’ experience
- Use Puzzle Time branding or content to mislead others about sponsorship or affiliation
10. Intellectual Property
Puzzle Time and its licensors own the Service, including its software, visual design, branding, game presentation, text, and other content, except for content expressly identified as yours or third-party material. Copyright, trademark, and other laws protect these materials.
Except for the limited license in these Terms or a separate written permission, you may not copy, modify, sell, sublicense, publish, or distribute the Service or its content.
11. App Stores and Third-Party Services
Your use of Apple App Store, Google Play, authentication providers, payment providers, shared links, and other third-party services is also governed by their own terms. Those providers control their platforms, accounts, payment methods, availability, and independent services.
Apple and Google are not responsible for operating or supporting Puzzle Time except to the extent required by their own terms or applicable law. If mandatory app-store terms conflict with these Terms for your relationship with that store, the mandatory store terms control that relationship.
12. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep Puzzle Time available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent access. Maintenance, outages, platform changes, security issues, legal requirements, or events outside our control may interrupt the Service.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice or remedies for a change that materially affects paid access.
13. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion from the Account screen. Account deletion is permanent and may remove synced progress and social data, subject to our Privacy Policy and legal retention duties. It does not cancel third-party subscriptions.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirement, or harm to the Service or others. Where appropriate and lawful, we will provide notice or an opportunity to correct the issue.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment obligations already incurred—continue to apply.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties that can legally be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, security, preservation of local data, or that every defect will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puzzle Time and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
15. Changes, Questions, and Disputes
We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the current version and update the date above. Where required, we will give additional notice before a material change takes effect. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any renewing subscription through its billing provider.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact support@puzzletime.io and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. These Terms do not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using a consumer-protection process available under applicable law.
8. Social Features, Sharing, and Feedback
If you use friends, leaderboards, result sharing, profile, feedback, or support features, you are responsible for what you submit and for choosing appropriate recipients. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or private information you do not have permission to share.
You keep any rights you already have in content you submit. You give us a limited worldwide license to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service. If you voluntarily send ideas or feedback, we may use them without payment or obligation to you. Personal information remains governed by our Privacy Policy.
