Lingo
Guess the word with color-coded feedback
Lingo is a word-guessing game where you have limited attempts to find a hidden 5-letter word. Each guess reveals which letters are correct, misplaced, or not in the word at all.
Rules
Type any valid 5-letter word and press Enter. Your guess must be a real English word.
Green means the letter is correct and in the right position. Yellow means the letter is in the word but wrong position. Gray means the letter isn't in the word.
Each guess gives you information to narrow down possibilities. Use green letters in place, try yellow letters elsewhere, and avoid gray letters.
You have 6 attempts (or more/fewer depending on difficulty) to find the word. Use your guesses wisely!
Strategies & Tips
Start with Common Letters
Use words with frequent letters like E, A, R, O, T, L, S, N. Good starters include STARE, CRANE, or SLATE.
Don't Repeat Gray Letters
Once a letter is gray, don't use it again. Focus on testing new letters to gather more information.
Consider Letter Position
Yellow letters are in the word but wrong spot. Your next guess should try them in different positions or try to eliminate more letters from the keyboard.
Think About Word Patterns
Common patterns like -IGHT, -OUND, or double letters can help you narrow down possibilities quickly.
